🍁 Hello October 🍁

Namaste Yogi,
I hope this email finds you well?  I have to say I’m glad to say ‘Goodbye September’ and ‘Hello October!’  September turned out to be quite a challenging month for me due to illness and it made me realise how we often take our bodies for granted.  It’s not until something happens, whether its illness, injury or surgery that it makes us pause, slow down and realise we can’t do what we did before. We can apply the yoga philosophy of AHIMSA (to do no harm) and be kind to ourselves, easing our way back into our everyday lives.
I find it really useful to use the acronym of RAIN (recognise, acknowledge, investigate, nurture) from one of my favourite spiritual speakers Tara Brach. Next time you feel challenged pause and give this a try.

We’ve had some wonderful classes in Helen gardens over the last few months. I am going to take advantage of this ‘extended summer’ and hold a few more then I will be heading back in doors to Wannock village hall on a Saturday morning.

My next date at Wannock will be Saturday 21st October.

The focus of the class will be investigating neck and shoulder pain and how this can sometimes be the main cause of headaches.  We will learn some self-massage techniques, along with learning how increased awareness into postural holding patterns can help us correct through yoga asana.  Details below:
